The Story Behind Creation of Ramacharitmanas
There are many religious books in Hinduism. Among these Ramacharitmanas written by Goswami Tulasidas has its own importance. It explains life of Lord Rama in very beautiful way.
Here is the story of creation of this Epic.
One night when Goswami Tulasidas was sleeping, he dreamed of Lord Shiva who told him to write this epic in Awadhi. Tulasidas woke up and realized that Lord Shiva and Parvati were present in front of him and asked him to go and stay in Ayodhya and write Ramacharitmanas there.
Tulasidas started to write this epic. It took 2 years, 7 months and 26 days to complete all 7 episodes of this book.
One day the local priests tried to test this book and kept it in Kashivishwanath temple below a few Vedas and Puranas and closed the temple. Next morning when the temple was opened, they found that position of the book has changed. From bottom the book moved to top overnight. Priests apologized to Tulasidas and since that day, Ramacharitmanas gained the desired importance.
