1 – Sonia Gandhi temple, Telengana:
In view of her popularity, Sonia Gandhi temple was raised by some followers of hers in the separated state of Telengana. In this temple, there is a stone idol of Sonia Gandhi posing as a goddess with lotus in one hand and a plate full of rice in another.
2 – Bullet Baba Temple, Rajasthan:
People worship the Motor Cycle of Om Singh who died in a car crash for unknown reason. This might look strange to you but the villagers might have their own reason whatsoever.
3 – Gatta Loops Bottle Temple, Rajasthan:
This temple was dedicated to the ghost of Gatta Loops in Manali Leh Highway. People offer their prayers here by offering bottles and seek for a safe journey.
4 – Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple, Gangtok:
It was raised to pay gratitude to Baba Harbhajan Singh who died while guiding an International border between India and China. He was deemed a hero nationwide after showing her bravery in the battle and embracing death for the country.
5 – Aeroplane Gurdwara, Jalandhar:
In this Gurdwara, miniature aircrafts are offered to seek blessings from the god. Again, the reason is unexplained and mysterious to say the least.
6 – Kal Bhairav Temple, Ujjain:
This was raised after Lord Bhairav Nath where there is wine offered to God and distributed among devotees as Prasad.
7 – Karni Mata Temple, Rajasthan:
This temple is otherwise known as the Rat temple where there are at least 20,000 rats looming around. Creepy but true!
8 – Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple, Kerala:
There is an annual festival held in this temple where goddess Bhadrakali is abused by the devotees during an annual festival. The festival looks extravagant and somewhat violent too.
9 – Chilkur Balaju Temple, Hyderabad:
This temple is also known as Visa temple and it is said the god grants all your wishes if you pray with a pure heart, especially if you wish to travel abroad. Most of the devotees come in the temple to offer their prayers before they have a Visa interview.
10 – Chinese Kali Temple Kolkata:
Kolkata is home to many Chinese people and this temple is raised by them only which looks really unusual. Goddess Kali is offered prayers by the Chinese people in this temple.
These are Bizarre Indian Temples having bizzare rituals – Bizarre to us, but the devotees offer their gratitude to the gods with great care and perseverance.
